Inventions" Tom will be trying to break the current
world record in the discipline static apnea.

Toms
preparations for a new freediving season have just started.
After an intensive medical check at the University Hospital
of Tuebingen, Tom is preparing for a new world record in static
apnea on 5th of Mai. Pictures of this you can find at the

On
wednesday you can see Tom Sietas and Benjamin Franz at Johannes
B. Kerner. In the opening of the show Tom will demonstrate
a static apnea dive, followed by an interview of the German
freedivers.

Between 27th and 30th of August three world records were
established by Tom: Dynamics without fins: 183m, dynamics
with fins: 223m and statics: 9:00min...
25.08.06:
The Deutscher Ring Aquatics was a great success. Two world
records were set and a great ordience of 7000 spectators was
amazed by great performances. The concept of Upsolut Event
GmbH "World Records at Rothenbaum" worked out and
two world records were set:
Roland Schoeman of South Africa was the first person to swim
the 50m under 21 seconds (20.98s) and Tom managed to swim
182m under water on one breath.

The "Deutscher
Ring Aquatics" finally starts on 12th of August at
the tennis centre court of the Rothenbaum arena. Tom Sietas
proudly presents his new partner Deutscher
Ring at this event.

Between 26th and 28th of August Tom will be attempting to
break the world records in the disciplines static and dynamic
apnea without fins. The attempts will take place in Tokyo.
Before that he will inofficially attempt to break the static
world record at a show called "aktuelle Schaubude".

On Wednesday there is a press conference about a new, extraordinary
event in Hamburg - the "Deutscher
Ring Aquatics".
On
August 12th and 13th there will be constructed a swimming
pool on the centre court of the Rothenbaum, a famous ATP tennis
court. For two days there will compete not only the best swimmers
in the world (Thomas Rupprath, Markus Rogan, Ian Thorpe) but
also Tom Sietas is going to set new world records in both
of the categories of dynamic apnea. You can get a first impression
of this world wide new event when some of the best swimmers
in the world and Tom will demonstrate their abilities in a
special event right after the conference. More details coming

14.03.06:
The
world record attempt in Japan was successful. Tom managed a distance
of 180m in dynamic without fins. The dive took him 3'30'' and thereby
was 30s faster than his previous record.
